January 29 - February 2

NWEA: Mostly everyone has finished taking the NWEA reading and math tests. We will now be updating our conference slides for spring. I will email each student's spring conference slides to parents once they are completed. This way your child can go over his/her growth and the new goals set for the next trimester from home at your convenience. Spring conferences are only required for those below grade level who need more help. I will reach out to those I feel would benefit from a conference with me. If you would like to have a conference, please sign up for a time here. Thanks!
Math: Last week, we completed unit 5/lessons 1-3. This week, we will work on lessons 4-8. Extra practice at home using the IXL textbook will be helpful to reinforce these essential standards, especially for those who struggle. Additional IM resources(the workbook we use) can be found HERE.
Shoes & Boots: Due to the mud, snow, and wet conditions, students need to bring boots and a pair of shoes to school to change into after recess. An extra pair of socks and gloves would also be helpful! All snow & cold weather gear is essential every day. Thanks for your help with this!
Ms. V's Learner Behavior Post: Here is what we have been doing in SEL the past two weeks.
Things to remember daily:
- water bottle
- safe snack(in the package with the label please)
- good fit book with bookmark
This week:
If you want to volunteer to organize classroom parties fill out the Google Forms below. Thank you for your consideration!
Birthdays - Students bringing in treats for birthdays must stick to the safe snacks list. Homemade treats are not allowed. Store-bought items must be sent to me ahead of time. Please include a picture of the front of the package/container and the label on the back. We have nut, egg, and dairy allergies in our room. Thanks!
