January 22 - 26

                                                           I love winter

Wow! What a week!! Thank you for your flexibility and quick responses on Friday. The kids were amazing through all the changes. I look forward to a full week with them!

Ice Skating: We will go ice skating Monday morning from 8:55-9:35. Please make sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather. Parents are welcome to meet us there! The PTO provides the skating and hot chocolate afterward. We will leave at 8:40, so it's important that everyone is on time to school.

NWEA: We will be taking the NWEA reading test on Tuesday morning. We will begin testing at 9:00. We will finish the test on Wednesday at 10:00. We will likely take the NWEA math test on Thursday and Friday. Please try to avoid absences in the AM on those days. Jolly Ranchers and sugar-free gum will be allowed during testing. Thanks!

Math: Last week, we took the assessment on unit 4. This week, we will start unit 5 and complete lessons 1-5. Extra practice at home using the IXL textbook will be helpful to reinforce these essential standards, especially for those who struggle. Additional IM resources(the workbook we use) can be found HERE.

Shoes & Boots: Due to the mud and wet conditions, students need to bring boots and a pair of shoes to school to change into after recess. An extra pair of socks and gloves would also be helpful! All snow & cold weather gear is essential every day. Thanks for your help with this!
