Back to School Night is Monday from 7:00-7:30. Here are the slides to view ahead of time. There are links to sign up for conferences and for field trips. Thank you for making the effort to attend!

Laps for Lincoln: We will kick off our fundraiser this week! All students received a t-shirt thanks to our awesome PTO. Collection days are Monday, Wednesday, & Friday for the next two weeks. Positive behavior and donations will help kids earn backpack charms like last year. The main event will be September 29th at SJHS. Hope to see you all there!

NWEA testing will continue on Tuesday, September 19th at 9:00.  Students will take the NWEA in math assessment. All testing will be completed by the end of the week. Please consider not scheduling appointments in the morning during testing. We will use this information to set goals you will see during student-led conferences in October!

Things to remember daily:

  • water bottle 
  • safe snack(in the package with the label please)
  • good fit book with bookmark

Birthdays - Students bringing in treats for birthdays must stick to the safe snacks list. Homemade treats are not allowed. Store-bought items must be sent to me ahead of time. Please include a picture of the front of the package/container and the label on the back. Thanks!

                                                Thanksgiving Lunch: Our Thanksgiving lunch will be Monday at 1:20. Due to the later lunchtime, students are encouraged to bring a larger snack from the safe snack list.                                                           Happy Labor Day!  We had an exciting and successful first week of school! It's been wonderful getting to know each student and learning procedures to help build a stronger classroom community! Each student should have a "good fit" book in his or her backpack. 4th graders are encouraged to read for 20 minutes or more at home each night. Once the reading is finished, students need to record the minutes and pages read. Please sign your initials on the bookmark. The bookmark is not intended to be a reading log. Research does not support the use of reading logs to promote life-long readers. It's meant to track each child's reading rate to ensure they are finishing the books they start.
