school bus drive

Hello and welcome to 4th grade!!

I am excited to kick off the new year by getting to know your child better. Here are some essential things to know. Be sure to ask your child about the bookmark and what book he or she is reading each night! Also, please fill out this form so I can get to know more about your child.

  • Students should be reading their good fit book every night & bookmarks should be initialed/signed
  • Blog should be checked by students & parents every Sunday at 3:00pm
  • Please make sure your child has headphones/earbuds if possible
  • There are no specials on late start days
  • Students should bring in a water bottle and healthy snack each day. We have some food allergies in our classroom, so please don't send any snacks containing peanuts or tree nuts. A list of approved snacks is coming, but for now Cheez-Its, Goldfish, Skinny Pop, FritoLay chips, & Pringles are safe. Whole fresh fruits and vegetables are always a good option! Alternate snacks will be available if unapproved snacks are sent in. If you are able to send in alternate snacks, please let me know or send them in with your child. Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe!
  • Please plan to bring in a small item to share the first week of school to share with the class (favorite toy, souvenir, award, etc.)
  • Plan on bringing a good book to read from your home until library checkout is available
  • Bring some of your favorite photos (old & new) to use to decorate your writer’s notebook
  • St. Joseph Public Schools will provide your child with all necessary materials. If you would like to provide additional supplies, we would suggest the following:

  • FOURTH GRADE

    • Headphones or earbuds

    • 1 box of crayons

    • 1 box of colored pencils

    • 1 box of markers

    • 1 package of large ZipLock Bags

    • 1 package of small ZipLock Bags

    • 1 box of #2 Sharpened Pencils (yellow only)

    • 1 permanent bound composition notebook (no designs and wide-ruled)

    • 3 spiral notebooks (no designs, any color, wide-ruled)10.5x8/70 sheets

*Students will donate items and will not keep them as personal items. They will be stored in a donation cupboard to use throughout the school year due to lack of space. So please NO items with special designs or colors.*
